Annual Rodney Sparks Memorial Golf Scramble

The annual golf scramble is the feature event we host each year since being founded in 2015. It is scheduled for the second Thursday of each July at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV. The event was renamed to the Rodney Sparks Memorial Golf Scramble in honor of one of our founding members who lost his life at the young age of 60 after battling cancer. Rodney was a resident of Wooster, OH and had been an operations manager for Worthington Industries.

Each year, we choose an organization located within Ohio, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia as the recipient of the proceeds we raise during our two day event. The first day is an informal setting with a practice round for those who arrive by late morning followed by our Annual MUG Mixer, which is located on the grounds of Oglebay Resort and includes dinner, drinks, and great industry networking. The second day consists of a shotgun start golf scramble on the Speidel Course at Oglebay with an award and prize presentation immediately following.
